A contest that writes back

WriteVerse exists because most open calls vanish your work into a silence. You pay a fee, wait, and never hear how the piece actually sat with a reader. We wanted the opposite: a monthly room with a published rubric, a number you can hold, and a certificate whether you place or not.

The name is the room: a verse, and a universe for writers. Put the poem or the story down, send it in, and get a score back. We keep the site quiet on purpose. The work should be the loudest thing here.

Entries are accepted in any language. Judges score imagination, feeling, shape, language, and theme, each out of twenty. Cash prizes go to the top three in poetry and in short story. Rankings for the month are public; archives keep winning excerpts readable after the month closes.

WriteVerse is built for phones first. Most of our writers submit on the commute home.
